Hello Fellow Followers,
I want to share with you a beautiful quilt, made with lots of love. This little story started off with a quilt that I received from a friend, to Longarm for Quilts for Harvey.
It was a gorgeous triangle quilt made with scrumptious Alison Glass Fabrics, long story short this beautiful quilt made its way to a very deserving home. Which in turn is where this quilt I just Longarmed is from, it’s a very special quilt for the quilt-makers daughter for Christmas.
I remember about two months back, Deirdre posted on Instagram a quilty wish for Gemology blocks to make her daughter a special quilt for Christmas. She received a variety of unique and beautiful blocks, she then stitched with love all the special blocks in to an amazing quilt.
After a slight mail issue with delay’s I received this beautiful quilt, I knew I needed to have a quick turn around time, so that way it could be gifted before Christmas. With a good day of Long arming I finished quilting it.
Once I seen the quilt I knew it needed a simple soft design, to accent the gems in the blocks, so I quilted a kite like design in the center and in the negative space I added soft swirls and curls along with a few feather’s.
It turned out so nicely, I packaged the quilt up and sent it on it’s way home, I’m hopeful it will arrive in plenty of time before Christmas.
The pictures are not the best, it’s been so dark in the PNW the last few weeks making photo taking very difficult.
Thank you, Deirdre many blessings to you!
Until next time, Have a Sew Happy Day.
Jenn.
