Hello Fellow Followers,
I want to share with you all a masterfully pieced quilt called Christmas Blessings. Which was pieced by Kathleen for her Niece.
This quilt was a quilt along, designed by Cherry Guidry, the quilt is called Vintage Ornaments. The fabrics used for this gorgeous quilt where from “Nordic Holiday” in White Snowflake Sweep. Appliqué pieces are from “Nordic Holiday” Fat Quarter Bundle.
“Nordic Holiday Blizzard” in Light Turquoise. The larger outer border is “Nordic Holiday” In White Snowflake Sweep. This fabric line is from Amanda Murphy for Benartex Fabrics.
Finished off with a beautiful Flannel backing called “Jingle Jangle” in a beautiful Aqua Snowflake, by The Tattooed Quilter for Riley Blake Fabrics.
This quilt was an absolute, blast to quilt I enjoyed each moment of it! The fabrics the festive design, it made me really get in to the Christmas spirit.
After Kathleen and I discussed the quilting design I started quilting her wonderful quilt top, with swirls and then accented it with ribbon candy along with corner feathers and accent triangles with swirls.
The ornament blocks, where echo quilted with small pebbling, framing the design. The free floating ornament hangers where quilted with mini orange peels and in the sashing strips I quilted large pearls and finished the design off with ribbon candy.
This quilt turned out beautifully!!! I hope your niece loves it Kathleen.
