Hello Friends,
It’s always fun when a group of quilts comes into the studio and each one has a personality all its own. These beautiful quilts were pieced by Arlene, and I had the pleasure of adding the longarm quilting to finish them.
The two Christmas bear quilts are absolutely adorable. 🐻🎄 With the cozy evergreens, bright red cardinals, pinecones, and touches of plaid, they have such a warm, rustic Christmas feel. I love how Arlene used different border fabrics on each one to give them their own look while keeping that wonderful woodland theme.
Then we went from Christmas in the woods to a quiet winter scene. ❄️🐴 The beautiful horse panel surrounded by soft grays, whites, and blacks feels so peaceful. The bold black-and-white piecing adds just enough contrast and gives this quilt such an interesting modern touch.
And finally—sunflowers! 🌻 The You Are My Sunshine quilt is just pure happiness. The bright yellows and greens against the black background really make those sunflowers pop.
One of my favorite things about longarm quilting is getting to work on quilts that are completely different from one another. Choosing quilting that complements the piecing without taking away from the beautiful fabrics is always part of the fun.
