Gallery of Quilts

Northern Lights.

Hello Fellow Followers,

Happy Fall! The autumn leaves, are adorning the tree’s and bushes everywhere in my neighborhood. It’s quite spectacular,

I want to share with you, a beautiful winter wall hanging, of a frozen Alaska winter scene, my mother in law, made.

This picturesque scene, was a panel that was created in to a quilt kit. By a quilt shop in the Yukon out of Skagway Alaska, called “Bear Paw Quilts” my mother in law, seen that they had shop sample’s. made up in to beautiful Wall hangings and that they offered kits.

So she had to get one! Since her son, my husband, is an avid hunter and Alaska enthusiasts. Even tho we have never visited Alaska, it’s on are bucket list, as we joke if we visited, we probably would end up moving there.

So Phyllis, pieced this beautiful wall hanging and asked if I could, quilt it up for her. Naturally I said yes! So here is the Northern Lights wall hanging.

It has two layers of Hobbs batting, the first layer is a poly cotton, with a wool foundation, to give a perfect combination of quilty texture.

I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Thank you, Phyllis!

Until next time “Have a Sew Happy Day”
