Hello Fellow Followers,
I want to share with you all, a fun tropical quilt, I put together for Beth’s mother.
This quilt, was designed around a bright and vibrant sunset with a tropical feel. With the quilts bright color-way of soft sand tan, muted purple’s with brilliant orange and red framed with a bold black to frame the quilt and the outer border was a mellow yellow.
The backing, was a soft black Shannon Minkie cuddle fabric, that makes this quilt extra cuddly. I decided to finish the quilt off with soft wavy lines, to represent the waves and gentle island breeze.
The pattern, is a free pattern from Windham Fabrics, called “Serenity” it is a great pattern, that uses panel’s as the focal point in the quilt.
I cannot believe, I only took one picture! Of the quilt and it is when I finished piecing the quilt top. I managed not to take one after it was top quilted.
It must be the hectic Christmas season, messing with my brain! Causing a slight oversight.
Until next time, I hope everyone has a very “Merry Christmas” as well as a Sew Happy Day.
